Excellent Prenatal Massage

I had an excellent prenatal massage with Noreen. Even hours later I feel amazingly relaxed in a way I can't remember in a long time. I found the facility using Spa Finder, and based my choice on the quality of reviews, and I was not disappointed. They were happy to take my Spa Finder gift cards, and let me use the additional on the card that was left towards my gratuity. The only issue I had was that the prices listed on Spa Finder were different than the actual prices. I addressed it with the receptionist, but they didn't honor the prices on Spa Finder. (It was only $4.00 more so I still went with it.) I hope the prices are updated in the future so they are more accurate. Still, highly recommend Urban Bliss! ;)

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. My wife and I had a full massage the same day. The massage lady first worked on my back, shoulders, arms, legs, and then she flipped me over worked and worked on my legs, feet, and head. This was for a one hour massage The only thing that dissapointed me, was they didn't use heated oils when massaging you :-( I love heated oils. However they do wipe you down with a heated towel. This massage really helped me to relieve my back aches, shoulder aches, and arms and legs aches.

I started day hiking earlier this year and noticed this was making the stress tightness in my shoulders getting worse. I booked and went in for the deep tissue massage and was rewarded with a very strong massage with pinpoint accuracy to chase the knots. I feel much better. And the facial. I have had facials before where it feels like a product advertisement. At the beginning of the treatment, I said I feel like going to sleep. She responded "pleasant dreams" and her next words were "we're finished". Very professional atmosphere and experienced personnel. I purchased my next facial and massage, before I left. Definitely will be back.

I used my SpaFinder gift certificate to try out the paraffin foot treatment and mini facial. I LOVED the foot treatment! My heels are often dry from running and power-walking, so the pampering really did me good. My feet felt so soft afterward! The mini facial was generic, but my technician was sweet and gave me an extra few minutes. She explained what she would do before doing it, and wasn't pushy in trying to sell me spa products. I will be back!

My visit to Urban Bliss was thoroughly professional, friendly, and luxurious. I received a champagne/chocolate/reflexology treatment and massage, and my therapist, Gwen, was amazing. Intuitively knew what to do, where to spend time, and how much pressure to apply. The spa is clean, quiet, and though not as "spal-like" as some, has much better treatments than most. I'd highly recommend Urban Bliss.

I had a massage with Maricela and I'm definitely a fan of her. Don't be fooled by this petite size young woman...her hands & strengths are amazing. She worked on my knots and I'm going to back to her because it is hard to find someone that knows what they're doing with their hands & my knots. So I would recommend her & you can let her know how much pressure you want. I know what I'm talking about because I've gotten a lot of massages & I have long commute, so I get the hard core deep tissue massage. I don't mind getting elbowed & getting stepped on... What I value most about Maricela is her honesty.

Service: 90 Min Deep tissue Christine really got to work. She spent a lot of time working out the two knots that I have in my shoulders. She even used hot stones even if it wasn't a hot stone massage. I highly recommend her for the deep tissue. Service: European Facial My skin looked so good afterward! She cleansed, extracted, exfoliated, masqued, toner, and put acne gel. There was a nice and gentle shoulder and arm massage during the masque. They recommended a get a peel after my treatment. She offered Dermalogica samples to my husband and me. Overall, I would come back. They are really quality therapists and aestheticians. The co,pany offers great deals for great service.

Visited Urban Bliss Day Spa on Friday 7/9/10. I found it on SpaFiner.com since I had a gift card and it was one of two places closest to my Cerritos home. First impression was standard issue strip mall kind of place with a small front desk area, but once you go to the back area of the spa the atmosphere improved. While not high-end luxury, perfectly acceptable for what I was there for, massive knots in the neck and shoulders. My masseuse was Christine and she was GREAT! She was attentive to my problem spots and really got the stress out. She was pleasant and the room had perfect ambiance with music, candles, and dim lighting. I will definitely return for future stress relief. I also opted to get my eyebrows waxed by Bonjie. She too was friendly and attentive. She took notes as to my sensitive skin around my brows so that she could tailor my future treatments appropriately. I am eager to try other services. Prices and location are great.

I called Urban bliss after looking up near by spa's online and a rough week of work. I was able to book a same day appointment... ON A SUNDAY!! I was instructed to fill out a survey when I signed in, asking me to adress my problem spots. Anna Cook, not only asked my how and why I ache where I ache but was able to give me pointers on how to treat my muscles following my massage. I am so happy that my sister gave me a gift certificate to this spa for my birthday. I feel so good after Anna Cook massages me with hot stones. I will never have a regular massage again, the hot stones make your massage last. Anna is the best.! I always feel welcome when I go there. The staff is very nice and the spa is small but cute. I appreciate that they always greet me by name and that I never have to wait. This has become my secret pleasure. Anna is really helping me to get my stress level down and it is also helping with my headaches. A gift certificate is all I asked my husband for Christmas and my birthday. I had a 4pm massage appointment. I arrived 10 minutes early as most places want you to come in change, relax. Not the case here, I waited and paced until 4:15 when the woman came out and said "give me 5 minutes to clean the room". At 4:25 my massage began, when I asked if I had the wrong time, she explained no, that the Spa Owner gave her a facial and she was giving the Spa owner a massage when it was my appointment. I was soooooo mad but tried to relax for my massage which ended after 45 min. The brochure stated 60. The owner just said I am sorry- obviously Customer Service is not one of their core business values. Ladies, there are much better places, try Complexions in Seal Beach!!!!

The staff was very professional & friendly. I got the hot rock massage, which was totally relaxing. Anna was great! She explained exactly what she was doing. Hanna gave me a fabulous facial. She was gentle & knowledgeable. There was never any uncomfortable pressure to buy additional products, which can be a turn-off at some places. I would definitely go back. I've been going to this spa since it first opened in Cerritos a few years ago. I run a lot and have various pain issues related to my running. I've tried various massage therapists and found a godsend in Anna Cook. I've been seeing Anna every month for her wonderful deep tissue/hot stone massage. She uses all these techniques that other therapists (believe me, I've tried them all!) don't use. It amazes me how this tiny woman can be so strong! After the massage, I feel like a brand new person. From the sweet owner Bonji to the clean spaces and reasonable prices, I cannot recommend this place enough.

Urban Bliss is just that; a blissful experience set admit a business/retail shopping center. The spa is unassuming and small with no water features, but the services are professional and the experience pleasant. I went with my mother for massage services. My therapist Christine was very pleasant and professional and also tended to my specific needs. The experience was relaxing and enjoyable. For the spa being quaint, I was still able to enjoy my massage without being distracted by noises or conversation outside the treatment room. So were we impressed and pleased after our first visit? Definitely. We each purchased a massage series to return for the next several months.

I have had tons of massages and sometimes left the table feeling more sore then went I laid down. But not with Anna. She gives great massage, period. There is just the right amount of interaction -- she wants you to let her know what feels good, what doesn't -- and always gives attention to pressure points and makes suggestions for removing blocks and pain. Her hot stone massage is nothing short of amazing and makes deep tissue work feel great -- and I'm a sensitive person and can't usually handle deep tissue. My body always responds with a sigh of relief and deep relaxation. Always a healing experience.

And for that I am especially thankful to ms Anna cook. She exceeds all my expectations as a massage therapist! Her passion for helping people truly resonates in her work! She has a healing touch that gets to the core of my knots in a way no other massage or person ever could. I received the hot stone massage yesterday and it was absolutely soothing. But even before the massage the staff at Urban Bliss were extremely helpful over the phone and in person. The spa is small enough to be personal but not too small. The style is very personal, especially the wall paper on the accent wall, from the moment you walk in. You can tell they pay a lot of attention to detail. But back to my massage. It was my first time getting a hot stone massage and it felt so relaxing and not too hot. When it was all over I couldn't feel any tension anywhere. I would totally visit this spa again.

I have a lot of really tight muscles and therefore have had a lot of massages in my life but nothing has worked or felt better than Anna's hot rock massage!!! Her deep tissue massage does not even hurt at all!! I leave feeling so relaxed!! Anna Cook is amazing!!

I had a very relaxing Blissful Massage with Christine... the session was a great stress reliever. I also had Ear Candling (done by Rosanna), which was very interesting...helped clear some minor sinus congestion. I recommend this place - so much so that I'm actually thinking about getting one of the Fab Five packages that's offered.

Finally! A local place where you can get a massage for a reasonable price, good service and friendly staff. I had a Blissful massage with Rosa and it was very relaxing. The whole experience was rejuvenating! In fact, they have special money saving packages that are so reasonable, I've decided to extend my spa experience by taking one of the Fab Five packages. They also offer ear candling with Bonjie, which is very interesting and definitely something to talk about. I highly recommend this place.

I get a massage treatment once a month at Urban Bliss. I can't say how much I look forward to it every month!! The entire experience -- from calling to make the appointment, to the moment I walk out the door, is pleasant and positive. As a middle school teacher, I deal with a lot of stress. The massage therapists at Urban Bliss know how to melt that stress away. They can tell where you carry your stress, so they can concentrate on those areas. For me, it's the neck and shoulders. I feel 2000 times better after my monthly massage -- ready to take on another month of middle school stress until my next treatment! Thanks Urban Bliss!

I couldn't move my head when I entered this spa because of the neck problems I was having. Without telling the therapist about my neck, she was able to detect my problem, eliminate my pain and made it possible for me to move my head from side to side with ease. Not to mention the rest of the massage which was great! I will definitely return to this spa. Ask for Anna, she's amazing.

I never would imagine myself getting a "Fresh Fruit Massage" because I never knew it existed until I went to Urban Bliss Spa. It was such a wonderful fresh and sweet sensation, from the moment I laid down to the very last drip of juice. The sound alone of fresh fruit being cut up and the juices dripping onto my body was so refreshing. The smell was so delightful and calming. As the juices were being massage into my skin, I felt like I was worry free and had nothing else to think about other than relaxing. The best part of it all was after I washed up, I notice my skin was so soft and it has last about 2 months and still counting. I don't even need to put lotion on. This is one of the best massages I have ever had. It really relaxes your mind, body and soul through the different elements used in the fresh fruit massage session.

I came in for help with my teenage daughter's acne and the staff was so understanding and helpful and really put her ease. The estherician showed her how to use all the products and didn't try to sell us a bunch of stuff we didn't need and worked with our budget. My daughter is a senior in highschool and it's so important to her to look and feel good and this helped so much that I'm gin a bring my younger daughter in too! Urban Bliss really took care of us and they are our to to people for skin care and advice!

on my recent visit to URBAN BLISS i experienced HEAVEN IN A BOTTLE!!!! the 90 minute hot treatment i received put me on cloud nine!! i had previously only gone there for my facials.. i have had continuous problems with my neck and back for most of my adult life.. i thought my condition was helpless, since all my doctor visits and pain medications have not seemed to work.... after receiving deep tissue massages at U.B. during my last 2 visits,,, the pain and discomfort that i thought was a way of life has seemed to literally disappear!! i could not be more grateful, i could not be more pleased.....the women at U.B. are true professionals, but more importantly, there focus was on me,, and not ma money....the facilities where immaculate, and the staff was second to none,,, i would not go anywhere else, even if it was free,,thanks to all the staff U.B., and you will continue to see my family and i for many years to come!! The front desk staff are very sweet, and pleasant, you feel very welcomed when you walk in. The massage therapist was great, she got all the tough spots. Only complaint, is that the reflexology person is not there often, so an advance appointment was required. Otherwise, loved the place, and the people, do recommend it.
