Richard Scott Salon and Day Spa

Modern decor and open concept. I stopped going because the price of services felt too high and I did not love my haircut enough to justify it. Plus I wanted to try a place closer to home. And the metered parking was annoying - I always had to have quarters handy. ATM in lobby felt a little tacky to me. Despite all that, I do consider it to be a good quality salon - just not the right fit for me.

I was in my sister-in-laws wedding and we all got our hair and make-up done here. My hair is very straight and I wanted all curls but was nervous to ask because everything I went to a salon to get curls, my hair straighten out with in a hour. It was my first time at this salon and the women said to trust her. She gave my a full head of beautiful soft curls, I was in love!! It not only lasted the whole wedding, I woke up with curls!! And my hair was soo soft not hard in anyway. I was sp pleased, I received compliments all night which made me feel great. I also got my make-up done there. I have a small scar on my face that bothers me everyday. I feel it makes me look ugly. The make-up artist, woman with blond short hair, sorry bad with names, did my make-up and I have to idea how she covered it but even I couldn't see it. This team made me feel beautiful which I never feel. I love all the pictures and actually was smiling in them because for once I felt good about myself. Thank all of you!

My experiences at Richard Scott have been nothing short of phenomenal. The staff is highly professional, are knowledgeable and very helpful. Ricky is a genius with color, styling and cutting. After my first appointment there, people asked me if I'd had a makeover. it's that good!

This was my first visit to your salon/spa. I love the layout and the atmosphere. Also, I sincerely want to compliment Luke on his excellent service. I arrived with a horrible back ache (and mad that i had one because I was sure I would still leave with one and miss the relaxation I was looking for when I booked the appointment a month in advance), and felt amazing when I left. He is a star and should be at the top of your list for his services.I am a "spa junky" so who ever reads this should take my advice....give the therapies a try! Also, I found the other staff helpful and personable. Thanks for participating in the "spa finder spa week" so I could find you. :) Also, sorry to drag on, but i am normally very critical of "store front" type spas vs. the full blown get-away experience...so more bonus points for Richard Scott.

I have been here a couple of times. One of my friends recommended me to go get my hair & makeup done for a few fundraisers I was attending. I loved the citylike salon feel as soon as I got off the elevator. loved the jewelry being displayed & the whole setup. I thought the service was really attentive.The staff has headphones on to communicate & make sure business is getting done. I was greeted as soon as I arrived & was well taken care of by their friendly assistants. Usually salon receptionists are hostile & angry. I have seen a few of the ladies behind the Richard Scott Salon Desk & I felt that they were always smiling & made me want to give them my money. I only remember one that is always perky and kind to me bec her name is Star. My hair was done by Edie. She was so compassionate & fun. She made my hair look very smooth healthy & alive. She really listened to what i wanted and created magic . I got my Makeup done by a makeup artist named Danny. He has this great tropical theme in his studio. Very fun, colorful & welcoming. He not only gave me a great make-over but explained things as he went along. He did a fantastic job on my makeup & even gave me great lashes to go with it! I can't wait to go back!

I went to this spa a few months ago and enjoyed an AMAZING massage from Patty. Best ever! I walked out of that room so relaxed and totally renewed, only to be met with the very nasty, snooty receptionist. I was redeeming a gift card. The person who gave it to me had informed me that the tip was on the card, but apparently I couldn't redeem that. SO, I asked the receptionist if I could use their ATM machine, but they were closing up so she said she would escort me through the shop to their ATM so she could watch me take out the money. I felt like I was being treated like a thief! I've been to many spas in and around NYC and I've NEVER met a receptionist with a bigger stick up her ass. I would never go there again. Even if the service was free.

I went to go get my makeup done for a wedding that I was attending. I was one of the bridesmaids and had to be there on time. The makeup artist make me look like a clown, even though I had told him to please go light on the makeup that I didn't want to go over board. Then I think he even knew he did so bad that when I tipped him he returned the money to me and told me not to worry about it? Isn't that what people work for the tips? I was in tears I had to rush home take everything off wait a while so that I could re-due my makeup because I have very sensitive skin so my face was all red and to top it off I was late to the wedding because HE made my look like a clown!!! Very bad experience I don't know how all the other services are their but I do not RECOMMEND going there to get you makeup done!! I also, called the place on the same day to speak to a manager and it is now 2 days later and I haven't heard back from anyone. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!

I have gone to Richard Scott many times for a variety of services. The staff seems friendly and they are always willing to bring me a cup of coffe, I find that the end result of whatever service that I have had is poor. So, I was sort of looking for a new salon to go to when my husband accidentally gave me $175 gift card to this place. So, I felt that since I had a gift card, I would try the salon one more time. HUGE MISTAkE!!! I was going to a wedding and I needed to get my hair colored and then washed and blown out. I ended up with color all over my head. My blow dry ended up being a bunch of ring curls and pin curls with tons of hairspray. I felt like an old woman from the 1920's. When I tried to ask the stylist to please re-wash and fix my hair, her next client was waiting for her. No one else was around. But, I had to get moving so that I could get to the wedding, and when I went to pay, they actually charged me more for the "extra styling". I was so angry. I felt like crying. I just drove home as fast as I could. Then once I got home I ran for the shower and I scrubbed all of the hair spray, curls everything out of my hair. I have $15 left on the gift card, and the only thing that I will go there for is to buy shampoo. Never again will I go in for another service. (I warned my family, "please, no more Richard Scott Salon gift cards")

I go through withdrawals if it's been more than two months - this is a wonderfully run salon, beautiful, fun, upbeat and client-centric. The staff is great - the entire team! I always leave there feeling like a million bucks!

I recieved a gift certificate for the Richard Scott Salon and Day Spa.I didn't even know this day get away was so close to home! I was greeted at the door by the Spa manager who gave me a tour of the Salon,Boutique and Spa.My day started with a sweedish massage followed by a Anti-Aging facial.Then I had lunch that was brought up to me.I then had a Mani, Pedi my hair styled and make-up done. I felt like a MILLION bucks! Iwas alrady for the eveing my husband planned for our anniversary.Thanks honey best gift ever!!!!!
