Yumi Youn is my favorite hairdresser, massage therapist & facialist ever. I have had short hair for years & finally found Yumi who can cut it & style it current & sexy! Perfect hair color, eyebrows, the whole package! My husband goes to Yumi as well for a handsome cut @ very resonable prices. I recommend Yumi & Spa Shizin to everyone I know! Love you Yumi!

I read the bad review and the good review of this place and debated whether I should go here. Decided to take a chance and it was a real find. My experience with Yumi - full lash extension set - could not have been more satisfying. I've been going to a "lash extension specialist" in Santa Monica that charge almost $200 per visit, and Yumi did a far better job at a fraction of the cost. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who's heard of or thought about getting lash extension.

I went to Spa Shizen for eyelash extensions. Yumi did a horrible job, and the lashes started falling out the next day. Within days I called her and asked her to fix them. When I went back in, she trimmed all of my lashes, so they were short and ugly. She put way to much glue on them so they clumped together. And, the worst part is that she had the nerve to CHARGE ME AGAIN! For a service that I wasn't happy with the first (or second) time!!! I would never go back, and suggest you not waste your money here!!!!

I just found out your review and I do remember who you are. First of all, I already told you to get your existing ones from someone else cleaned up and start over. To avoid getting charged for a new set price, you chose to go for just refills by leaving your existing ones which are already clumpy and chunky and working around them. You didn't wanna get chunks while you wanted to keep your existing chunks. When you came in to get them fixed, I cleared out the fact that your old ones came out and I really needed to start over. You said that you didn't wanna get too long and too thick lashes at the end of my service, so you're the one that trimmed them off. What is worse is that you told me to just trim them off cause you didn't like them and would not come back. It was one of our busy seasons in our industry. Thanks to your wishy-washy decision and double-talks, I even rescheduled my another client cause I wasted so much time for you. As a beauty industry person, I know we cannot please everybody, but we are also humans with emotions and feelings. If I consider the way you acted and treated me, i should have charged for the full price as a new set, but I just charged the removal price, which is $25. I could have not charged for it, but i charged it because I didn't have any intention to serve customers like you as much as you didn't wanna come back to me. Actually one of my long-time regulars since 2005 found your review and she voluntarily wrote her comments for me. I have lots of regulars for lashes still under this economy, not only in Santa Clarita but also in Beverly Hills area. I just wanted to tell you one thing; Treat others as you wanna get treated.

The worst massage ever...

This was the worst massage that I've ever had in my life! I had been to this establishment 3 times before and the massages where good but the last time I got a new girl and she was awful. I wanted to tell her to stop mid way through. Luckily I was only scheduled for a 1/2 hour. At the end I paid and left a tip to be polite but I was not happy. I called the owner the next day and told her I'd like to keep visiting her spa but ,I did not want his particular therapist again and that I 'd like her to discount my next two visits to make up for my disatisfaction. She said that she could only offer that the same girl massage me again. Why the -*%@*would I want that?? No way and I'll take my business elsewhere.

I decided to respond to this review for our future customers. This client wanted to come in at 3 pm one Sunday, and none of the therapists who she requested didn't work on Sundays and none of them didn't wanna work on her. Unfortunately we are open on Sundays by appointment only and most of girls don't wanna work on Sundays, especially in the middle of Sunday for only 30 minutes massage. On top of that, she booked very last minutes as well. I had lots of difficulties to find two girls who can work that Sunday only for 30-minutes couple massage, and they did their best to please this couple. One girl who I originally arranged for her refused to take this customer and switched to her husband cause she treated the therapist so bad the previous time, so our new therapist who just moved from a chiropractic office ended up working on this customer. At the end of the service, we checked out if they had a good experience and they said yes. in a few days later, she called me and complained that the new "big, dark Asian girl" (she couldn't remember her name, do described that way) gave her awful massage, so she needed to get refunded or get it done again by one of her favorite therapists. The new therapist felt so bad for me, so she volunteered to ask me to tell her to give another chance to please her. Besides, none of her requests wanted to work on her. This customer said that if you wanted to get my business again, you should arrange another girl or give my money back. I didn't have any intention to get her business again, so I decided to let her go. Please do not treat your service person like your servant or maid. Please show your respect for others. If you are really unhappy, please stop midway rather than get a deal for next time. It sounds a little bit tacky regardless of your real intention.

I would highly recommend this place to those of you who are seeking to be individually pampered, and exclusively taken care of. I would not recommend this place for those of you who are seeking a name brand-cluster like ambience. This place is exquisite in it's individualism and attention. I personally love the individual sauna shower and the Salt Glow bath treatment. Definetely two thumbs up!
