This place is like a little piece of heaven. The owners, also masseuses, choose their staff carefully and have established a good environment. I really like it here - clean, comfortable and unpretentious, and they are always friendly too.

We take mini vacations and spend two nights in Laguna Beach quarterly and always include a couples massage at Athena. Everything about the atmosphere and quality is excellent. The massage staff is very capable and sensitive to our current aches and pains, and we always feel rejuvenated and relaxed...

I went in for a much needed pregnancy massage in my 9th month. My therapist had me lying on my back! After a bit of feeling concerned and unrelaxed I inquired and the therapist did not even know that pregnant woman are not suppose to lie on their back. This was unsettling since I clearly booked a pregnancy massage and was huge. I had to explain to her and then describe how other pregnancy massages are done. At the end I asked to see a manager who was not available. I got the card of the Spa Manager, Kelly Garrett, & Spa Director, Ashley Stratman. My husband and I both left each of them messages over a 2 week period thinking it was important they know and assuming they would apologize and make attempts to reassure the situation. They never returned either of our calls. I am now pregnant with my third and final child and ready for a massage. Clearly I will not be spending more money here and feel it important others know of this as well. Very disappointing experience and stress added rather than alleviated.

I have been going to this spa for over 8 years. I can't enjoy it enough. The staff and their expertise keeps me coming back for more. It's a quaint, peaceful place and it's priced perfectly so you can enjoy a little break from your busy day without a drain to your pocket. I can't say enough good things. Every time I leave I am completely relaxed and rejuvenated. I've never had a bad experience in all my years going there. Big thumbs up.

I travel all over and get spa services on a regular basis. The Athena Day Spa experience is like none other and lucky for me, it's just down the street. I went to their new Diamond location at 2007 S. Coast Hwy and started with the infrared sauna and hydrotherapy Time Capsule. From there it gets blurry as I was in another world and I could hardly walk and my day had just begun. The hour massage and foot reflexology was blissfully relaxing and the deep cleansing facial left my skin hydrated and glowing. The staff was excellent. I highly suggest spending some quality time in these beautiful and peaceful spas. They are easy to find and time flies once you get there. Overall it was a spa day to treasure!
