Spa & Hôtel Le Finlandais

My husband and I booked a couples massage for 30 min. It was our his 1st ever massage we thought 30 minutes would give him a sense of what it was like before getting a longer massage. We arrived about 20 minutes before our scheduled massage and in the parking were told that there was not sufficient space and had to park across the street, it just took some time since we were in a line to talk to the valet guy before we got the info. Then when we got inside we waited at reception, not a long one but we waited. We then got inside got changed and went into the seating area downstairs to wait, we waited a while and then the 2 ladies came and get us and brought us up. At that point she told us that our 30 min. massage was reduced to 20 minutes because we were late. I thought that they should have taken into account that we waited and that's why we were late. If not for the parking and reception situation, they should have been waiting for us downstairs at least so that we would not have had to also wait there. In the end the massage was not that great and she focused so much on my neck it got annoying. I would go back for the baths but not so much the massage. We still enjoyed our day but thought we got screwed.

The place is beautiful. I enjoyed the main pool with the waterfalls. It is close to Montreal and brings very noisy people with it. So if you are looking for a spa to rest your ears, try again. Not very romantic for a couple. But in a group, you will enjoy the ambience and the style of the Finlandais

J'ai beaucoup aimé mon expérience au spa le Finlandais, en ce qui concerne les bains. Il y en a plusieurs ; le site est assez grand. Par contre, je n'ai pas été satisfaite du service reçu quand au soin corporel que j'avais pris : un massage suédois. Le prix étant beaucoup plus élevé qu'ailleurs pour les soins, je m'attendais à quelque chose de haut de gamme, mais j'ai été déçue. J'y retournerai pour les bains, mais je n'y réserverai plus de soins corporels.

This spa is perferct for those that don't have the time to drive an hour or more to nature. It's an escape to the beauty of nature in few minutes drive.

Only 20 minutes from Montreal. Paeceful and beautiful, you will enjoy your experience! Try a shiatsu or a Thaï-yoga massage.
