Worst Service Experience I've Ever Had.
I wish there were NO stars because that's what this place deserves. I can't even explain in words how AWFUL this place is. There is not a single service that is of even average quality. I would think that with the money I pay for a simple wax would at least gain me some respect and kindness from the employees there. Some days the front desk ladies are nice, some days not so much. Now I'll make this short and simple for the first half. Body scrub- not even a BODY scrub, more like front half leg scrub and some shoulders. Makeup-- not even ACCEPTABLE. The girl clearly did not know how to do makeup any more than 12 year old with a Clair's eyeshadow kit. I can't even describe how bad it was. I spent 70 dollars just to wash off my makeup right afterwards. My last and WORST experience: One day I totally forgot my appointment that I made online at least a week prior. I get a call from a woman named Layla 30 min later saying that they'll move the apt to a later time this time, but next time they'll have to charge me full price. I understand that IF THEY HAD SENT ME A REMINDER CALL LIKE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO. I've never gotten one and they're supposed to call every time. I complain asking for the manager, turns out the manager on duty at the time was, guess who, Layla. I yell at her and she is so extremely rude to me and instead of her apologizing she SCOLDS ME. Me. A paying customer. By the end, I was so ticked off by her demeanor and attitude that I flicked her off. SHE SAID THANK YOU. The front desk people were very nice, apologized for the service, and said that I didn't have to pay. I said I still wanted to talk to the REAL manager and so she gave me a call later while I was at Chipotle and instead of her being nice, she was defending herself and Layla, who I've heard has a history of pissing clients off, and basically by the end of it she was just pushing that I don't return to the spa and to find somewhere else. Never had this bad of an experience on any type of service in MY ENTIRE LIFE. I expected her to give me a complimentary service for next time, instead she ended up asking if I wanted to cancel all my appointments. Don't waste your money or your dignity. And yes I'm posting the same review cuz I don't want to get angry anymore lol.

Very average for the price you pay
I am a regular customer at Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas and usually visit the one in Fairfax Corner monthly for an eyebrow wax. I have never had a bad experience there and LOVE it. As a college student it's hard to find appointments to fit my schedule sometimes, so I settled for Tysons, thinking I would have a similar experience. The front desk women were rude, and just told me to sit in the awkward front waiting area. Two older women came in after me and were taken to the relaxation room. It was as if they were judging me despite the fact I was obviously paying the same price as everyone else. I had consulted reviews and selected someone who everyone said was great. While my eyebrows ended up fine, she was rude, telling me that the shape of them was wrong (after I told her to leave the shape and just clean them up) and that I had been tweezing them wrong. She seemed very disinterested, as if she couldn't get me out fast enough. As I paid in the front, I was again disregarded and treated poorly. I will not be returning to this location. If you're in the area go to Fairfax Corner and see Ana. Much better atmosphere and a great experience there.

Waxing=great Hair cut=worst i've ever had. Massage=ok Nails=horrible
I have very mixed reviews of this location. I have been to many Red Doors. I used to come here for waxing when I lived close, and they were wonderful. A great quality wax. Quick, efficient waxist. I also had my nails done- bad experience. I paid extra to have the exfoliating scrub. The woman was very nice, but literally applied the scrub, ran her hand up and down my leg ONCE, then washed it off. It was nothing even remotely close to an exfoliating pedi. The mani was rather messy as well. The massage I had was ok. Nothing special, but no complaints. Where do I begin with the haircut- I have long hair- about down to my elbow. I like to keep it rather natural and healthy. I had asked for just a trim. She cut it nearly up to MY SHOULDERS. It was also cut straight across rather than the requested layered cut. She also managed to cut her finger in the middle of it and have to get a band-aid. I was nearly in tears when I saw the final result! I called the manager and she refunded my money, but it took a very very long time to grow my hair back out. They seem to give everyone a very similar shoulder length cut- very common for the NoVa area.

I go to this spa often to get my eyebrows waxed and I always have a great experience. The staff is amazing! Although getting waxed isn't exactly "relaxing", they certainly make it as relaxing as possible. Love this place!

I was hesitant about coming to this location because the reviews I read were not the best. But I decided to give it a try. Boy was I impressed. From the moment I walked in, everyone was pleasant. I was taken immediately for a tour of the location and then to the changing area. Once I was dressed I headed to the relaxation area, which was quite relaxing. I didn't have to wait too long for my first service, a body wrap with shea butter and an olive oil scrub. This was incredible and relaxing. The only thing that I could suggest is they have the showers in the room where you have the service so you don't have to leave and come back. Then I was taken back to the relaxation area, but the guy for my massage was waiting. I had scheduled a signature massage but after talking with him for a few minutes, he suggested the deep tissue massage. That was a good suggestion for me. I then had a facial which was good and it included a nice hand massage. After this, I had a great pedicure. This was the best birthday present ever.

Red Door Spa Tysons Corner VA
I have been going to this spa for 4 years now. Usually get the signature facial, lactic acid peel, waxing, and yesterday I got my first Keratin Hair Smoothing Treatment. I am very satisfied with all services and wouldn't be returning there if I was not. Yes, the facility is old and is in need of rennovation. That is the only criticism I can find. Services and staff are excellent. I like Hoda and Ruth. I especially like their wax, very unique and doesn't hurt as badly as other waxes.

I had a wonderful massage here. The massage therapist really knew what he was doing. I came out feeling like a new person. The facilities were nice. The staff was very welcoming. I definitely plan to come here again.

Dingy, rude and not worth the money!
My friend and I indulged on a day of spa services at the Tysons Red Door salon. What a disappointment! The people at the front desk signed us in and pointed us in the direction of the ladies locker room. No one showed us where the robes, shoes and towels were or even how to use the locker! Very BAD service! The locker room was horrible! Dirty, dingy and not big enough for 2 people to change into our robes at the same time. I heard they are doing renovations - I wish they would have told us that before we decided on the Tysons location. I've been to the Reston Red Door, it's much nicer. Overall the services were OK, but did not justify the $300 final price tag for a massage, facial and manicure. The spa at Lansdowne resort is similar in price and is luxurious in comparison.
