This Orange County facility strives to provide guests with a holistic and nurturing approach to massage and skin care. The 1,150-square-foot spa features five treatment rooms and has neutral walls, hardwood floors, and dim lighting to create a quiet atmosphere for guests. Customized skin care treatments including facials, peels, and microdermabrasion are performed by skin care therapists. All skin treatments incorporate a cleansing, exfoliation, masque, toning, exfoliation, moisturizer, and sunblock protection and add-ons are also available. Other treatments the spa offers are customized massages, waxing services, salt glows, body polishes, body wraps, and touch therapies. I was in dire need of a massage because of my back so I decided to use my spafinder certificates and find a massage place around the area. i found a deal on their website for an introductory price of $79 for a 90 minute massage so I signed up for that one, hoping that I could use my spafinder certificates. Unfortunately, I couldn't use them towards a promo offer, which was fine.
So I requested for a therapist with firm hands and I got an Asian lady who looks like she would be able to provide the firm pressure I needed. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. During the massage, I kept asking her if she could apply more pressure but I don't know if it's the language barrier (she spoke very little English) or if that's the most pressure she's capable of doing.
so instead of the deep massage I needed, I got a relaxation massage that was more Swedish. At the front desk, the nice lady asked how my massage was and I was honest with her in saying that I would've preferred more pressure. She was kind enough to offer me the introductory price again for my next visit. I was grateful for that but I haven't been back since.
I would probably go back to give them another chance. I'll definitely ask for a therapist with firmer hands

My girlfriend and I got a great deal for a facial and massage at this place. It was a great little treat for ourselves. the staff was very nice and helpful. Definitely cant beat the prices!

Aaazing therapist & spa - physical & spiritual healingBy AG | November 11, 2010
This spa and owner - Liliane - are amazing. Owner treated mom visiting from TX with a series of 7 lymphadema massages. Helped her ease the physical pain but most importatntly provided spiritual healing and inspirational conversation to help overcome mental roadblocks to healing. All staff encountered was wonderful, kind and helpful. Highly recommend this spa to everyone.

Payment Issues with Monthly Membership program - Keep All of Your Receipts!!By OliviaW | October 6, 2010
In January 2010, I joined In Essences Day Spa monthly membership program. The program provided great discounts and it was convenient to have one monthly charge. The facial services I received from Brooke were great! The program has a 6 month minimum so after my special event in May 2010, I waited until June to cancel my membership. I asked to make sure all charges were settled and was told my account was cleared. I just received a call on Oct. 6th stating that there was still a balance on my account from March 2010. If there was an issue on my account, why did it take 7 months to figure it out?!? Since I don't keep all of my receipts from 7 months ago, I have no evidence to say otherwise.
My advice would be to keep all of your receipts if you join the monthly program. Otherwise, pay for every service on a single service basis and you should have no problem.

I went to the spa today for the first time and I had a facial with Brook. I could tell Brook was passionate about her career, and when she opened her mouth her knowledged poured out like she had been in the business for 50 yrs. Brook gave me the information about my facial before she started so I could enjoy and relax during the process. At the end, she gave me recommendations and why and then left the rest up to me to decide. It is one thing to have passion for your career, but to match it with up to date knowledge was OUTSTANDING. This place could charge $200.00 in Dana Point. This place is a keeper!

I recently moved and was looking for a day spa close to home. From the moment I walked in the door, I was well taken care of. Brooke is a wealth of knowledge! She gave the precise facial I needed to clear up my acne. Within a few days, I already saw results and by the end of the week, my major blemishes were gone.
The services are very affordable and the experience is wonderful like larger, more expensive day spas I've been to.
The main thing I like is that they don't push you to buy their products. They recommend what you need & how it will work, that's it. :-)

I just got back from having a 90 minute pregnancy massage with Jamie. She was awesome!! It was so relaxing and she used enough pressure to get the knots out but not too hard to hurt you. The spa is nice inside and all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this spa to anyone who wants a great massage for a really good price.

Don't let the size of this spa fool you! This spa has so many services that they offer. They are real pro's at what they do. I have been addicted to this spa ever since my first appointment 2 years ago. I go every 2 weeks to see Brooke for facials, since the membership is such a good value why not?? Brooke has made my skin feel and look like it did way back when? Since that first appointment at this spa I have never wasted my time anywhere else. So size doesn't matter!! :)

I visited the spa for two services on separate visits. Liliane, the spa owner, gave me a deep tissue massage that was sorely needed. I fell asleep on the table - the massage was exactly what I needed. April, an esthetician, gave me a wax during another visit. She really was fantastic - great conversation, made me feel relaxed. I recommend this spa. It's cozy, warm, relaxing, peaceful, great atmosphere.
