great girl's day full of pampering

i went to Escape on Riverdale ave and my experience was anything but relaxing. first, my nails were done and the girl cut me twice! apologizing and laughing! ok..I let it go and didn't make a big deal. I got highlights done....suppose to be blonde. They came out ORANGE!!! I stayed calm and asked the girl to please fix it. after she spoke to her boss and making me wait over a half or to fix what she messed up, she came out with an attitude and said 'fine, I'll fix it'. She was pissed. I should be the pissed one. Then her boss comes out, smiling saying that I have to pay for the dye she added to fix it! I couldn't believe it!!! I told her that shes lucky I'm not suing her for damaging my hair and also making me bleed! never will i go back. and I do not suggest this place to anyone. not to mention, they are overpriced

This is one of those places doing the work for all the right reasons. I had a gift certificate to Escape, and it had expired. They honored it anyway. It was for $150, and for that I got a full hour of a really wonderful massage, eyebrow threading, and a great wash and haircut. Every person I met was wonderful. And when I called to make an appointment, the staff made a real effort to schedule me in. It's people like this, and service like this, that will keep me going back again and again.

I've been to Escape for a full day of beauty - mani/pedi, hour massage, haircut & styling - and walked away feeling great and beautiful! I've also done yoga a while ago and lately zumba classes. That is amazing. The instructor is so patient with the beginners (like me!) but everybody gets a great workout. The place is busy but everyone gets personalized attention. I will be a client for a long time. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

I had the escape signature facial by Soonhee. Soonhee is THE BEST facial lady. She's the cutest little korean women. She very good at what she does. I saw the results in my skin right away. Her touch is so gentle yet effective. The massage/stretch at the end is my favorite apart. You have to ask for Soonhee. She also does semi-permanent make-up and eye-extensions. She is talented and I am hooked. The spa is also such a beautiful place. It's a very clean, relaxing atmosphere with the nicest people catering to you. It's the kind of place that you don't want to leave. They offer so many services that you may end up spend the day there.
