Fantastic Day Spa
Elizabeth Arden Red Door in Mystic is a wonderful day spa. I've been going for years now and I have not had one bad experience. The staff is fantastic and experienced and always willint to assist you in any way. I highly recommend this for the serious spa goer!

Maggie is the best!
My entire family gets their hair cut by Maggie. My wife started getting her hair done by Maggie and suggested I come and now even our three year old daughter comes. She is wonderful with all of us! She is the best!

Best Salon Service by Maggie!
I was almost done with Red Door... their customer service isn't always great, they have a high turnaround for front desk. And my favorite aesthetician left. I was in need of highlights and a hair cut and my friend recommended Maggie. And she was amazing! I have since had her do a Keratin treatment, more highlights, etc. She is great with my daughter too! She is honest which great because it isn't just about selling me products or getting me to add services. I feel completely comfortable with her and always leave feeling and looking great!!

This spa has excellent customer service. They do great highlighting, manicures, massages, etc. I recommend Sarah for hair. The staff is very friendly. If you need a place to relax, this is the place to go.

I usually get my wife gift certificates or when we have time away she comes here and she enjoys her time. She raves about her facials from Laurie. And I enjoy the facilities myself.

Love those robes!!
I booked a variety of service for myself and a friend getting married. The front desk staff was friendly and attentive; the relation room was inviting and comfortable with the different fruits and drinks available; the technicians that performed our services were talented, friendly and conversational (Jaime, Sara, Sevil, Tammy and Wendy) and the robes (omg the robes) were AMAZING-Like being wrapped up in the warmest, softest plush imaginable. The prices are a bit higher than other places but absolutely worth every extra dollar. I can't wait to return for the sugar scrub and massage.

I highly recommend using Laurie for services. She is by the best at her craft and has made a loyal customer out of me. I drive from far to this spa just to see her. She is professional and courtesy and makes you feel like your business is appreciated. Overall the facility is nice. I would like to see some consistency in the rest of the staff, mostly front desk, reception and phone. As I do frequent the spa fairly regularly I tend to notice certain things. The other techs and and services providers are excellent as well.

Red Door Spa /Marriott Mystic Hotel
One of my all time get - aways. The whole facility is top notch - quiet; classy. All my treatments - facials, massages, nails - I've always been very happy with. Clean, professional. There are so old reviews on Trip Advisor....I happened to be there at the same time as one of the least flattering reviewers.... have no idea where the complaints came from....didn't even sound like the same place!

My go-to place
This spa is my go-to place. They regularly have deals and specials which isn't too common at decent spas. I have had some issues with minor booking errors, but I find that if I do it online it works well. I do wish the relaxation/waiting area wasn't co-ed, that just doesn't make me comfortable but there generally aren't a lot of men present anyway. I have had a few nail techs that aren't as good as the others, not bad, just don't go the extra mile. But I have learned who I like an request those people. Have had great facials and waxing there.

Sorry, we can't find your appointment
I booked a deep tissue massage at the Red Door Spa in Mystic immediately following a series of meeting I attended at the hotel associated with the spa. I had been looking forward to the appointment as a way to unwind and relax. Instead, when I arrived they couldn't find a record of my appointment despite being able to find my information in their system. I was not impressed.

Girls spa weekend ...a success!
We had a wonderful time at our girls spa weekend. The massage was heavenly and the pedicure, although a bit pricey, was worth it. Will definitely go again!

Multiple treatments, all great!
My husband and I went to the spa because I was in a wedding. I had my hair done by Gianna, who did an AMAZING job. I got so many compliments on my up do (which she recreated exactly based on pics I provided). I also had my eyebrows and makeup done there, both of which were outstanding. My husband had a facial and a peel, and he really enjoyed both of them. Nothing but good things to say about this place & Gianna!

Lack of private pool/jacquzzi area
Luv this location, very cozy relaxation room, nice spa lunch, excellent hot stone massages. Very good service.Only thing I don't like about the place is that there is no separate pool/jacquzzi for the spa. Spa customers have to share hotel pool, which can be noisy when there are alot of children, but I do highly recommend this spa and look forward to my next visit!

Pricey, but a nice get-away. Have gone here several times for a girlfriend weekend. Nice because the hotel is right here and they have a great restaurant too. The spa has a wonderful atmosphere, and the staff is pleasant and experienced. Taking hubby this time!

A Very Relaxing Experience
I have been to the Red Door Spa several times. Each time I go, I get the Signature Facial. For 50 minutes, it is relaxing and comforting. The staff are very friendly and make the spa experience relaxing.

good service, relaxing atmosphere; but their services are more than twice the cost of those found at sole-proprietor establishments w/the similar offerings. i remain very impressed by their extensive list of both spa and med spa services, professionalism, and client accommodations. however, one need not pay for a name brand in order to receive quality, adequately priced, spa treatments. as such, i wont return to Red Door.

Overpriced for quality of service and customer experience
The services were overpriced and the expereince was subpar. From incorrect booking, moldy showers in the ladies locker room and a therapist that was less than customer service friendly and a session that was no where near it's advertised 80 minutes, have to say that we feel ripped off. We booked a hot stone couples massage, instead they booked it as a deep tissue. My mistake for not verifying the email. But when going for the massage the thereapist was nasty about it. The other therapist was polite, but no one from customer service came to speak with us. We were given limited options and ones that were unclear. Instead of wasting more time we went ahead with the scheduled deep tissue only to hear the kids screaming in the pool area throughout the massage. The therapists were good when it came down to the massage but not great. Have had much better massages and can't say I would recommend it unless the prices were at least 30%-40% lower than what they are. The therapists were good at their work

Every person that works at the Red Door Spa in Groton, CT were very polite, pleasant, professionals out their jobs. My Husband and I were very relaxed by the time we left and we only received mani & peti. Worth every penny.

I have been going to the Red Door for 8 years and always to Lisa. She makes my hair Fabulous! I would never go anywhere else. Being greeted at the front desk and checkout is always professional and polite. I've had many mani's and pedi's as well and they are the best. having gone to other places for nail service doesn't even come close. It's relaxing and comfortable and the polish always lasts a very long time. I love the Red door. Worth every penny.

Wonderful experience in the Nail Salon
I was in on May 12 with my mother and sister in-law to celebrate Mothers Day with Mani/Pedi's. We all enjoyed ourselves and are planning our next visit. Thank you Red Door!

I loved every minute of it!! I love that you can go in for a service and stay for the entire day using the facilities (indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, steam room, gym, ect) and NOT pay an extra cost. I would recommend this spa to everyone!!

I was there on May 10th, for a massage & Signature manicure. Regina gave me one of the best massages I've ever had, and made sure it wasn't too hard or too soft. I was so sorry when it ended. If I lieved nearby(I'm from New York), she'd see me a lot more often! Then Kristen gave me a Signature manicure, that even more than I'd expected it to be. The relaxation rooms were lovely, and the whole experience just what a Spa experience should be. I wholly recommend this spa to anyone. And being part of the Marriott I was staying at just made it more perfect.

I've heard so many wonderful things about this spa and I do love spas, but did not enjoy my pedicure I received. I was expecting a day spa experience but got treated second rate... perhaps b/c I was only getting the pedicure and not a list of services. I enjoyed my pedicure and the service of my nail technician but did not enjoy myself enough to go back and pay those prices and not get the full spa experience.

Service with a Smile
I have had 3 great experiences at the Red Door. I was made to feel like royalty on my first visit. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. Larry gave me a manicure and pedicure. He was witty and helpful with my problem nails. my second visit was a facial. My skin glowed and felt fabulous. Next visit Jennifer gave me a manicure which lasted longer than any I had ever had. i smudged three nails while trying to pay for the service and was immedialtely whisked back to her for a redo of the 3 smudged nails. She was gracious and stayed past her scheduled time to make me happy.

I went to this spa in the summer and had a great experience. The facials are great and they use terrific products. The spa itsself is clean and the staff is friendly. I definitly recommend this spa.

I received the best facial ever!
I received the best facial ever by Cheryl last week. She was wonderful, addressed my skin care issues (rosacia breakouts), and (best of all) had no next day breakouts. The massage I received was competent but not out of the ordinary. One sour note that the spa really needs to address (and replace) is their flipflops or slides, because they are so old they are discolored and ripping. However their robes are luxerious. Overall I have to really recommend this spa.

Way too corporate and mediocre (at best) service
The staff was disinterested, the service mediocre -- and the whole atmosphere was too corporate for me. I had one of the worst pedicures ever (cuticles untended, polish uneven) and no one cared. I was there on the Sunday of a holiday weekend in winter -- the place wasn't crowded, maybe they had the B staff-only on duty -- but I would never go back!
