Gould's Day Spa & Salon - Park Place

So much for a "birthday relaxation gift". Atmosphere was poor...the waiting room for a massage was right by the door where customers come and go. Totally un-relaxing. Ciera was my therapist. No ammenities, robes, showers, areas to unwind. The massage was just so so. She spent just as much time literally "scratching" my scalp as she did rubbing my arms and legs. Cheap quality, over-priced.

I think I have visited all of the Gould's spas in Memphis. I received a lovely massage here and the atmosphere was wonderful!

I spent a very relaxing afternoon here, with a blissful facial and massage. Everything was wonderful, the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. I will definitely be back!

Being originally from Memphis, I have always loved going to Gould's. The spa is very nice and the staff is wonderful. The only flaw is that the front reception area is a little small with not enough seating. Last time I was home I had a manicure and pedicure by Marilyn. She is wonderful! She is very good, funny and talkative. The pedicure room is very relaxing and they have devoted a special room to manicures. Marilyn's stations is up front in the middle of the hairdressers, but its nice to be around a lot of people and see what is going on. If I could go to Gould's every time I was home, I would!

I've had literally hundreds of massages in the last 20 years and today's experience with Carla Fernandez-Della Rosa was among the top 3. She was very thorough and gracious. Massages these days have increasingly become a "cookie-cutter" experience, but her technique was unique and refreshing with an almost mystical quality. The reception staff was the only unsatisfactory part of the experience. The young ladies might as well have been made of plastic and treated me as if I was just another obstacle they had to endure before getting off work and out of there. No greeting, no smile, no personality or invitation to return.

Just had a therapeutic massage at Gould's Day Spa and Salon. Carla Fernandez was awesome, worked on my back pain, aches. I feel just like a new woman ! My new motto is "Will work for massages". Best massage and pampering ever had ! She even gave me a flower. What customer service. Gould's is the best !

My wife and I visit the ParkPlace location many times a year. She enjoys the mani/pedis and haircuts and I enjoy the occasional manicure, massage, and ,often, haircuts. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this location to anyone. We purchase the Spafinder certificates from Costco when they have them and give them to friends and family, as well as ourselves. Good job Goulds!!

I've been to many spas in my lifetime & can honestly say that Gould's offers top quality services at great prices. My spa experience at Gould's was one that I'll remember for quite some time. I will definately visit again & will certainly spread the joy!

I've had a variety of treatments (massage, brow wax, bikini wax, body scrub/exfoliation, manicure) at the downtown (Peabody Hotel) location of Gould's. They were professional, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the treatments were high quality and performed with care. I've been to other spas that have more of a unique or sophisticated atmosphere, but overall Gould's is a reliable operation. The downtown location has a great steam and dry sauna, and my husband and I had the couples spa package which included a nice lunch from the hotel. All of the staff were courteous and professional.

This is a run of the mill operation. They are over priced for the service provided. My daughter and I went to the location in Cordova and the service was terrible. I will never go back! There are too many other choices for salon services in this area to pay the prices they are charging with the lack of customer service!

This is a beautiful spa, and I have been there twice. The first time was to get a pedicure just days before I was to be induced to deliver my daughter. I received a beautiful pedicure, although I was disappointed to see that they don't so a foot massage to go with it. Several weeks later I returned for a postpartum massage, and was disappointed by the quality of the massage. I repeatedly asked the therapist to back down on pressure, but she just kept getting too rough. However, the price for an 1&1/2 hour massage was incredible. I hope that I will have a better therapist next time, but I will definitely return.

This spa is very nice. You are treated with courtesy from the moment you walk in. I would definitely go back and refer friends.

I wasn't expecting much from a day spa in a non destination area but I was pleasantly surprised. The service providers are extremely knowledgable in thier fields. From what I see Goulds is the only place in the Memphis area where you can receive a quality spa servive and excellent attention to detail. I would definately recommend the spa to everyone.
