Treatments great, facilities disappointing
The treatments I had at this spa were great, the staff friendly, and the facilities for treatments were lovely (relaxation room for before and after, and a refreshment room to help yourselves to tea and cookies). However I could not recommend the facilities of the thermal area. The steam room smelt of sweaty socks and was not very warm. The aroma room was tepid and didn't smell of anything much. The sauna was not hot either. And the ice room wasn't cold and you couldn't sit down because there were broken tiles on the seating area. The pool was very nice and it was quiet when we went. But the changing facilities were cold and it is worth noting if you are planning to visit here that towels cost £1 (non refundable) each to hire and gowns and slippers are not provided. It feels very much like day guests aren't welcome (a hotel resident got two free towels as we were registering). The facilities are spilt over two levels (treatments on one, pool and thermal area another) so we ended up getting fully clothed to go up the stairs for treatments (since no robes). It is easy to find, good city centre location (great for those on public transport). I would have another treatment here, but not pay extra to use the thermal area facilities.

Spa Naturel - October 2010
I visited this spa a couple of months ago with my friend for a day of relaxation. The spa its self is very nice the layout is just right the customer service provide was satisfactory it was a very enjoyable day. The only thing that would need improving would be the little extra added benefits that add up to make a difference, I would considering coming back to this spa again.

Spa Naturel- Aug 2009
I booked a spa day for 10 people as part of my hen party. When we arrived the receptionist wasn't very helpful and we were not shown where to go. The spa itself was clean and the treatments and staff were excellent although one member of my party told me the lady doing her massage was hungover and made a point of telling her this- which wasn't very professional! We were booked to have lunch in the hotel but the hotel staff had not been informed about our booking so we were kept waiting which ate into our treatment and spa time. When we returned from lunch we asked the receptionist for more towels as we had used them before we went to lunch- these were given to u reluctantly! Although the spa itself and treatments were lovely, I was extremely disapointed with the reception staff and would probably try another spa before returning to this one.

Disappointing
I have been to the Sheffield Spa Naturel on more than one occasion. The first time was absolutely fantastic: the facilities were clean, functioning and the staff were pleasant. The aroma room was one of my favourite places and it had a soothing and relaxing mix of essential oils. I have since been back and seen a large deterioration in the cleanliness of the pool and steam room facilities, especially the aroma room which smelt stale and unpleasant. Also the cleanliness of the showers and changing areas left a lot to be desired. Despite this the therapists were fantastic and were really friendly and helpful as well as soothing my tired muscles with an excellent massage, however this cannot be said for reception staff who were abrupt and left the reception desk unattended meaning my party had to wait to be looked after.
