SpaBooker Accelerates Its Expansion Into Multiple Internet Distribution Channels; Names Two New Senior Executives
Tracey Solanas Appointed VP, Sales; Bradford Jones, VP, Strategic Partnerships and Marketing
New York, NY – July 22, 2009 – SpaBooker, the leading spa/wellness online booking company, today announced plans to dramatically expand online distribution channels for its appointment booking solution. The distribution channels will bring new and incremental customers directly to spas/salons through the popular online booking program. Tracey Solanas, VP of Sales, will focus on developing new partners and opening new markets; Bradford Jones, VP of Strategic Partnerships and Marketing, will build distribution channels with other leading hospitality and lifestyle websites, such as SpaBooker’s recent partnership with Allure.com.
Ms. Solanas brings over 14 years of sales and business development leadership, with a focus on developing early stage technology companies whose solutions automate what was once paper. She joins the company from Satmetrix (formerly known as Informative), where as VP, Channel/Business Development she developed strategic partnerships with interactive advertising agencies that sold the company’s online brand community platform. Previous to Satmetrix, she was Director of Sales and Channel for Biz360, where she was instrumental in building the direct and indirect sales for this early stage media analysis company. She also served as Regional Sales and Market Director for OpenTable, Inc, the online restaurant reservation software company.
Mr. Jones brings over 15 years of marketing and sales experience to SpaBooker, with a focus on the travel and hospitality sector. Prior to joining SpaBooker, Mr. Jones led business development and sales teams for Travelport brands including GTA, Galileo and Orbitz - as well as senior management positions at Travelocity and Carnival Cruise Lines.
“We are pleased to welcome these two veteran marketers to the SpaBooker team,” said Daniel Lizio-Katzen, Managing Director of SpaBooker. “Their awareness and understanding of online marketing trends will allow SpaBooker to continue to bring the convenience and power of our online booking platform to spas, salons and consumers.”
SpaBooker’s industry-leading product suite functions like the ‘OpenTable’ of spa and wellness: consumers can not only book times, they can research menus and pricing and select specific treatments – from a Thai massage – to a salt scrub – to an oxygen facial. Users simply pick a location, view service availability for their chosen day and time, drill down to the exact treatment, and reserve securely with their credit card or gift certificate – and their booking is confirmed instantly.
Businesses partnering with SpaBooker can also sell their own gift certificates on their websites and at SpaFinder.com.
