Turks and Caicos
This extremely private resort is on an isolated, unspoiled 1,000-acre island ringed by the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. Its COMO Shambhala Spa (Shambhala is Sanskrit for "sacred place of bliss") lives up to its name. Guests stay in oceanfront or garden-view suites, or beachfront villas. Built into a hill, the COMO Shambhala Spa offers simple yet elegant décor and a pan-Asian menu of massages, including Thai and shiatsu, performed by therapists from the treatments' countries of origin. Private Reformer sessions can be taken in the adjoining Pilates hut, and guests can refresh with a dip in the infinity-edge pool or outdoor Jacuzzi. A spa menu of organic cuisine is offered at the resort restaurant.
