The Czech Republic
The Mandarin Oriental brings its brand of Asian-influenced luxury to a unique setting in the heart of Prague's oldest quarter, the charming Mala Strana. Set in a 14th-century former monastery, the hotel has preserved the building's original architecture, including vaulted arches and a baroque colonnade, which now blends with modern interiors. The holistic spa occupies a former Renaissance chapel (remnants of which can be viewed through the lobby's glass floor) and offers customized treatments derived from Eastern and Western healing traditions. The two-level spa has six treatment rooms, two of them for couples; a fitness center; a tea/relaxation lounge; and private heat and water facilities with a rasul, steam showers, and a vitality pool.
