Vietnam

Ignored by most tourists for the latter half of the 20th century, Vietnam is quickly making its way back to the top of the list of destination sites. For years people of the world have missed out on Vietnam's stunning and untainted beaches, ancient tribal areas, and resort towns full of spas.

Vietnamese spa treatments range from relaxing flower and herbal baths to massages that improve circulation and rejuvenate the body. Vietnamese massage techniques also use hot suction cups, which are placed on various energy points to stimulate the lymphatic system.

Shopping and eating are favorite pastimes in Vietnam and provide great ways to experience the mixture of Chinese, French, and Vietnamese culture. You can stop off at the makeshift teashops or chew betel and areca nuts that are said to make the mouth fragrant, decrease bad tempers, and make digestion easier. The Cho Noi is a floating market where thousands of boats gather to trade and is a great place to gather insight into the local way of life.

The landscape provides a beautiful backdrop of brilliant green rice patties, verdant forests, celestial beaches, and majestic mountains. The cities and villages offer ancient citadels, garden houses, and French colonial houses.
