20 Milk Street, Portland, ME 04101 United States

Situated in the heart of Portland's historic Old Port district, one block from the city's working waterfront, the Portland Regency Hotel & Spa blends classic charm with contemporary amenities. In a Neo-Romanesque building that was once a state armory, the newly constructed hotel is within walking distance of many of the city's shopping, dining, and art attractions.
The 95 elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites remain faithful to the hotel's original architecture, and meeting and event space can accommodate up to 200. The property, a member of the Historic Hotels of America, features a full-service spa equipped with a fitness center, Jacuzzi, steam and sauna area, and two couples' suites.

The seven-treatment room Spa at the Regency, elegantly decorated with natural, airy decor, offers a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, Vichy showers, and separate men's and women's locker areas. Two duet suites invite couples to enjoy treatments in tandem.

The spa's menu of services includes thalassotherapy rituals, rejuvenating facials, and an extensive list of massage techniques, such as deep-tissue, Swedish, aromatherapy and four hands; guests can also indulge in the Maine Sea Coast Stone Massage, which uses heated basalt stones. Invigorating body wraps and scrubs incorporate a Vichy or Swiss shower experience. Guests can enhance their spa experiences with add-on services such as a foot massage or the Herbology Resurfacing Hand and Foot treatments, which use Chinese herbs.

A full-service fitness center comes complete with free weights, Cybex machines, and cardio equipment with flat-screen TVs. Personal training is available by appointment.
