About Mirror Lake Inn Resort & Spa

The picturesque Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York are the backdrop for the charming Mirror Lake Inn, which is located in the Olympic village of Lake Placid. Built in 1883 as a private home and opened to guests in 1924, the Inn retains an old-world feel, with dark mahogany paneling, antique stained-glass windows, and a stuffed moose head over a stone fireplace. The spa also has a comfortable, yet elegant ambiance and features special "spa sanctuaries" for guests waiting for treatments.

Great Escape in a Touristy Area
This place is a nice escape amid a very tourist area. If you looking for a different experience in the area, I recommend trying this spa out. With the beautiful backdrop, you can't beat it.

The Epitome of Cozy
I recently paid a visit to Mirror Lake Inn and it was beautiful! From the cookies in the lobby, to the delicious food, to the big fireplaces, this place was cozy, hospitable and quality. The spa was very relaxing and the locker rooms were pristinely clean. I loved the eucalyptus steam room and whirlpool, too. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a place to stay and spa, or just spa, in Lake Placid! They even have a shuttle that goes from the Inn to Whiteface mountain!

Lovely Mother Daughter Day!!!
Brought my daughter for her birthday. Wonderful afternoon! I had seaweed wrap-fantastic! She had mani/pedi and massage. mani/pedi average (they made her bleed) but massage was great! My other daughter had a teen facial which was also very nice. Spa Front desk not as friendly as I am used to, but acceptable. Therapists were all great! Sanctuary was nice, but nothing elaborate. For this area if the country it is probably one of the best, but compared to others on a national level I would give it a 3-4.
