Institute founder and director Jenny Sheetz, MA, CN, oversees the Laurel Wellness Center and provides many of the healing treatments. Offering services aimed at advancing personal wellness — fitness, healing, weight loss, personal growth, and professional development are just a few — is a passion for the experienced staff, whose skills are constantly being expanded through the Institute's School for Holistic Studies.
Guests at this Pennsylvania resort will find a tranquil, serene haven, where the only sounds are those of nature. Groups up to 32 can be accommodated.
SERVICES & CLASSES
The Laurel Wellness Center is housed in three log-and-stone buildings that are understated and elegant, appointed with accents of wood, flowers, indoor gardens, a waterfall, and a saltwater fish tank. Expansive windows overlooking the forest allow guests to observe the changing seasons. The well-equipped gym, resistance pool, indoor walking track, hot tub, and saunas are just some of the amenities.
The Institute specializes in healing treatments that address a variety of health and wellness issues, including therapies for chronic pain, stress, celiac disease, personal and relationship issues, fibromyalgia, weight loss, and nutritional support. Spa services include 10 types of massage and many skincare treatments that incorporate Moor Spa products, featuring 30,000-year-old mud containing hundreds of plants with known medicinal value. Fitness experts, nutritionists, physical therapists, counselors, and body workers are included on the wellness center staff.
