Palm Beach’s PGA National Resort & Spa is designed to provide guests with a championship experience, boasting five 18-hole golf courses, a spacious conference wing, and a European-inspired spa that’s been recognized as one of the top 15 U.S. spas by Conde Nast Traveler. The 40,000-square-foot spa, open to both resort guests and the public, provides visitors with 100-plus body and skin-care treatments deeply rooted in global healing practices, along with nail, hair, and waxing services at the full-service salon. Light dishes from the spa menu can be enjoyed at the Waters of the World Café, and a visit to the famed “Waters of the World” mineral pools—complete with salts imported from around the globe—is a must. Tastefully designed in earthy hues, spa interiors fuse Mediterranean sophistication with South Florida style.

To create a cool, soothing environment, the Mediterranean-meets-South-Florida decor at the Spa at PGA National incorporates elegant furnishings and a palette of muted, natural tones. More than 100 services are available in its 32 treatment rooms, full-service salon, and numerous nail stations; there is also a boutique shop. The Sea Water Pearl Facial, one of the spa’s signature selections, combines red seaweed and liquid calcium seawater pearls to hydrate and stimulate the skin. Other options include watsu therapy, the Mediterranean Therapy Body Wrap, and the Noni Body Treatment.

The resort spa is best known for its outdoor Waters of the World section. The collection of healing mineral pools gives contemporary expression to the ancient spa tradition of "sanitas per aqua," health via water. One of its two mineral pools is filled with salts from the Dead Sea, the other with water and salts from Salies de Bearn, located in the pristine Pyrenees. Waters of the World also features a main freshwater pool and whirlpool.

Facilities & Amenities

Golf is the major recreational activity at this spa resort, which is just a short drive from the American PGA headquarters. Golfers can choose among five 18-hole courses, designed by well-known architects such as Nicklaus, Palmer, the Fazios and Litten, or improve their game on three driving ranges or at the on-site Golf Digest Academy.

But there's plenty for non-golfers as well. The 33,000-square-foot Health & Racquet Club features cardiovascular and weight training rooms; an outdoor lap pool; yoga and spinning studios; and racquetball, handball and 19 HarTru clay tennis courts. The PGA National Croquet Club has four full-size lawns and an instructional area. In addition, younger guests, ages two to nine, will enjoy activities at the kids’ club.

The property is less than a half-hour drive to some of Palm Beach's major attractions, including the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Norton Museum of Art and Busch Wildlife Sanctuary.
