I have been going to the bell tower for 10+ years, and it is one of the nicest salons/spas in the area, which is reflected in the prices. I wish they would reevaluate their services and price list to be more relevant to our location. Reading should not be commanding the same prices as upscale salons in NYC and Philadelphia. That being said, at times I have been faced with a curt attitude from the staff (not from my hairstylist or nail technician), but that is improving! I always have an excellent experience with the nail technician that I book with. She is the best, and my regular manicures always last a week! I am glad the staff's attitude is improving, but wish the cost of services could be reviewed and tweaked as well, so that I can afford to visit the salon more often.

Bachelorette spa party
It was rather disappointing for the price. The massage was mediocer with no bilateral symmetry in the routine or pressure. The intake form asks where your discomfort is but the therapist never addresses them. Non the less the rooms are NOT big enough for two tables! Since I bought a package it came with a lunch. Don't waste your money the luch is horrible and we found insects in it! The other services were nice only they didn't keep us together like I had requested. It more or less seemed like they were trying to push us through like cows in cattle shoots... Some of the staff is friendly but ultimately only care about ur payment rather than the service provided.

My daughter booked her wedding party for makeup and hair to be done the day of the wedding. Prior to her wedding day she had to sign a contract for the services being done. We had 4 to our wedding party, we were not together for the experience for out makeup or our hair. They certainly have a large enough salon, it could have been made possible, I just don't think they took the time to prepare or plan. The updo's looked nice however were mediocre. I had to go back to our hotel and wash and redo my hair almost making me late to the church. They did not care that I was not satisfied but more worried about getting paid. Between the 4 of us we spent over $650 and they had the nerve to charge the bride for my 2 year old granddaughter to have powder puffed on her face because she wanted to pretty like her mommy. The atmosphere for makeup applkcation is located in their boutique and the lighting is bad with no mirrors other than a hand held mirror. I would proceed with caution if you choose this salon.

Good Service, but High Prices
Be careful if you view their website. The prices are outdated. The item I went for was actually listed at $85 but afterwards it rang out at $115. The difference is substantial and they need to update their website to reflect their new prices for facials. I feel their prices are also a bit high especially they are only 30 mintue facials when most other spas offer 60 minute facials and I felt it was rushed.

Attractive facility in central PA
Friendly staff, open atmosphere. The waiting area has a few desires, seating option is not the most comfortable. My technition arrived on time and was friendly and gave me good direction as to what rooms to use. Great massage, quiet room, was a little cool but they give you blankets and pillows so the comfort level is great!
