When I was invited to try out the new BioRadiance Facial at the The Spa at Mandarin Oriental New York I literally jumped at the chance. Not only because Mandarin Oriental New York is one of SpaFinder Wellness’ favorite New York City spas but because anytime a facial uses the natural and organic skin care line Amala, I start daydreaming about my soon-to-be glowing skin.
The BioRadiance Facial uses Amala’s newest bio-botanical breakthrough: The Brighten Collection which we named one of our must-have eco-friendly product lines of 2013. Using the healing properties of narcissus harvested in Turkey’s Taurus Mouhas, as well as raspberry seed, and algae extract, the product line is able to slow down the synthesis of melanin, the skin pigment that leads to dark spots, which leaves our skin clear, and you guessed it, radiant!
The newest addition to The Spa at Mandarin Oriental’s treatment menu begins with a peptide-rich gel mask which is used to restore your skin’s luminosity. It’s then followed with one of the most fabulous facial massage treatments I’ve personally ever experienced (I was so relaxed I nearly started snoozing on the table!). This antioxidant rich facial massage provides your skin with much needed hydration before a series of nourishing moisturizers complete the experience. As with other Amala facials I’ve experienced, I left the spa radiant and confident to go about my day without a stitch of makeup!
