St. Lucia

One of the highest islands in the Caribbean, St. Lucia offers stunning landscapes in the form of twin volcanic peaks, Petit Piton and Gros Piton, that rise 2,600 feet above the ocean. Dramatic terrain can also be found off-shore, and divers often spend hours exploring the surrounding caves, underwater mountains, and drop offs. The northern part of the island is the most populated and contains the majority of St. Lucia's resorts, but the rugged south is home to charming banana plantations and more than 19,000 acres of rainforest. It's no wonder this haven of nature known for its strikingly beautiful beaches and spectacular mountain views is proclaimed to be the "fairest isle in the world" by its national anthem.
