Ok, so we don’t want to sound like a PSA, but did you know as many as 7.5 million Americans (including Kim Kardashian) have psoriasis? If you are one of them, don’t rule out heading to the spa—several spas out there offer treatments for those suffering from what is considered to be the most common autoimmune disease in the U.S., according to the National Psoriasis Foundation.
Here’s a snapshot of just a few:
Tiffani Kim Institute – Chicago, IL: The institute’s dermatologist or dermatology physician assistant is on hand to consult with those plagued from skin ailments like psoriasis.
Ahava Day Spa – Edmonton, AB: A line of specialty products named after the spa target sensitive skin and address common problems, including psoriasis.
AriaSalt – Fort Worth, TX: Salt therapy, or halotherapy, found at select places like AriaSalt, is an all-natural alternative to help relieve symptoms of respiratory and skin ailments; at AriaSalt, rooms are completely covered in salt, and the spa-goer inhales microscopic salt particles distributed by a halogenerator.
Santhigram locations throughout NY, NJ, Chicago, and even India: The spa franchise’s specially designed skin-care treatment, combining Abhyangam, Shirodhara, and Panchakarma, aims to alleviate psoriasis and eczema problems throughout the body.
A.R.E. of New York – New York, NY: Educational workshops led by Cayce Method Educator Jack Rosen provide specifics and recommendations about illnesses such as psoriasis, eczema, and more.
