“Focus on your breath and slow it down and repeat this until you feel a calming.
Be present. Thoughts tend to scatter, and it helps to stay centered on the present moment.
Sensory awareness: Closing the eyes and hearing, smelling, feeling what’s happening around you can sometimes help pull a person from centering on stressful thoughts.”
Cal-a-Vie General Manger Debbie Zie chimes in with her own fab tip: “Keep a small bottle of rosemary and/or lavender essential oil at your desk or workspace,” Zie says. “Rosemary will clear and stimulate the mind and lavender will calm and relax. When needed, open the bottle of oil and take a few deep breaths of the aroma.”
