Green Mountain at Fox Run has been named one of the "Top 10 Spas for Weight Loss" in the Spafinder Wellness 365 Readers' Choice Awards for 10 consecutive years. Since opening more than 40 years ago, Green Mountain has refined a full-immersion weight-loss program and retreat exclusively for women who wish to achieve health and a healthy weight without dieting.
At the heart of the program are behavioral classes that help women explore and address the thoughts and attitudes that shape their relationships to food, their bodies, and themselves. An array of exercise classes accommodates all levels of fitness and mobility. The nutrition program, a 2013 Spafinder Wellness 365 Readers’ Choice Award winner, helps women relearn and practice normal eating behaviors with an emphasis on intuitive eating.
The staff is led by behavioral therapists, registered dietitians, exercise physiologists, and mindfulness/stress-reduction experts in an intimate community.
Nestled in Vermont's Green Mountains, the serene retreat near Okemo Mountain Resort offers awe-inspiring views and miles of walking trails.

Green Mountain, a former ski and corporate destination at the base of Okemo Mountain, sits on 26 wooded acres and offers breathtaking views and fresh air. The atmosphere is decidedly casual; comfortable active wear and sneakers are the norm. Homey decor is inspired by a mountain retreat, accented by cozy common areas with fireplaces. Limited services at the three-treatment-room spa include massage and reiki.

The Vermont-based, organic Flourish product line is used in treatments.

Facilities & Amenities

More than a spa or a place for pampering, Green Mountain at Fox Run offers a comprehensive weight-loss program benefiting from four decades of experience understanding and working with women's specific weight-loss and health needs. The retreat's program features workshops in which modern research on fitness, behavioral, metabolism, and nutritional components is introduced and skilled professionals in the fields of nutrition, exercise physiology, psychology, and stress management guide guests; sleep classes, cooking lessons, wellness coaching, and metabolic assessments are among the options available. During their time at Green Mountain, participants begin to identify their personal obstacles to long-term weight-loss success, plus, develop and practice new behaviors, strategies, and techniques designed to extend beyond their time at Green Mountain.

Two on-site exercise studios host a bevy of workout classes that aim to accommodate all levels of mobility and fitness. Personal training is also available, and guests are welcome to trek the 10 miles of walking trails that wind throughout the property’s 26 wooded acres.
