Spa Spotlight: Bright Lights, Big City, Townhouse Spa

Tucked away in a lavishly restored townhome just three blocks from New York City’s iconic Central Park, Townhouse Spa offers tourists and locals alike a posh space to relax, mix and mingle, and be thoroughly pampered.

The well-appointed, 6,000-square-foot townhome-turned-NYC-day-spa features three floors: one for men, one for women, and a ground floor built for socializing. The spa, open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., blends traditional luxury with modern embellishments in a space where guests are encouraged to stay after their treatments to mingle over some light fare and champagne in the spa’s own Townhouse Lounge.

The upstairs is dedicated to Townhouse’s private men’s spa, which features a steam room with individual cooling showers.  The Men’s Lounge brings the term “man cave” to the spa; gentlemen guests can sit back and enjoy sports and movies, play video and board games, or lounge on oversized leather couches and armchairs.

Downstairs is a women’s spa where ladies can slip into one of the state-of-the-art Oceana Hydro Capsules. These 53-gallon hot tubs with retractable covers offer guests a 30-jet hydro-massage, all while emitting colors, vitamins, and herbal extracts, aromatherapy-infused steam, and vibration. Women will also enjoy the Uptown Girl menu, which features hair and eyelash extensions—perfect for every New York City glam girl.

For guests yearning for a little extra privacy, Townhouse offers The Phoenix Suite with a widescreen LCD TV for movie watching or presentations, a private steam, and shower, which are the ideal complement to romantic couple’s treatments.

On all floors, guests can indulge in many treatments, including facials, massage modalities, herbal detox, body and cellulite treatments, manicures and pedicures, waxing, full hair salon services, and much more, using the very best in beauty and skin-care products from all over the world.

One of the spa’s latest treatments is the Circ-Cell Density Building Facial. This 80-minute facial ($265) uses the amazing Circ-Cell line of products, which incorporates its latest launch, ABO+/- Blood Face Rejuvenation serum (debuting nationwide for consumers in March!). The treatment starts with a cleanse, lymphatic drainage, and lift-and-sculpt technique using the Circ-Cell Geothermal Clay Cleanser and Circ-Cell Pro Dew, respectively. The Circ-Cell REM Masque Serum and the new ABO+/- Blood Face Rejuvenation is applied, followed by a Circ-Cell Density Building Treatment utilizing the Circ-Cell Transdermal Delivery System and the brand’s own TDS micro-channeling device. “The TDS delivers unprecedented results because, unlike traditional handheld micro-needling devices, it affords uniform depth and application.
