Bammies Rose Top and Consuelo Gaucho.
Yes, you read that right: BAMMIES = business + jammies. And they’re pretty much a gal’s godsend. This streamlined, neutral collection is all about upgrading the basics, allowing for easy outfit building without the fuss of too many colliding layers, colors, or concepts. Bammies keeps it clean, comfortable, and cool, never taking itself too seriously but never compromising the allure of well-made, flattering, and effortless design. They are the sweet spot between casual and dressy.
In my first week of owning my Bammies, my white Rose Top got two wears: First tucked into a pair of wide-leg black trousers and nude stilettos for work and dinner, and then over a pair of tattered boyfriend jeans for a leisurely Sunday brunch. My black Leslie Tank was the chameleon tank I’d always dreamed of, worn over the same tattered jeans, a black lace bra, and black pumps for a raw bar date. The combination of structure and boxiness made me say, ‘I could wear these every damn day.’ I look forward to seeing how these two purchases will ease packing for trips. Our EIC Elaine D’Farley can also vouch for them; she rocked her Rose Top the day after buying it, giving our fellow staffers the lowdown on her fresh new piece.
And as of May 2016, Bammies is expanding, introducing its second collection, “I FEEL,” and extending sizes exclusively on Indiegogo. The Rose Top I’m obsessed with is now coming in Navy Blue (I’ve already purchased it!) while a debuting jumper, cropped trouser, and sweatshirt also joins the brand. You can send your “thank yous” to founders Rosario Chozas and Julia Ford-Carther, who heard every woman’s overwhelmed, what-to-wear cry and gave them an everyday solution.
