Good Karma: Cactus Salon and Spa Goes Red for Heart Health
Scary but true: Heart disease is the number one killer for women in the United States making it paramount that we all practice heart-healthy habits in order to prevent our risk. With February being Heart Month, many of us are recognizing that the month isn’t just about heart-shaped chocolates and valentines but also about heart health and raising awareness for the wide-spread disease.
In fact many salons around the nation take part in the American Heart Association’s Go Red Campaign, by offering temporary red hair extensions to promote awareness – often times with proceeds going back to the AHA. Long Island’s 28 Cactus Salon and Spa locations have been taking Heart Month to heart, by doing just this! Since January and ending on February 28th the salon has offered three ways clients can help give back during Heart Month:
1. $15 for a red hair strand extension
2. $55 for a Keratin Complex Red Carpet Blow-dry (Keratin Complex Cocktail on the Long Hair Menu)
3. Purchase any Keratin Complex Hair Care Product
10% of all proceeds from these services and purchases will be donated to the AHA, helping to further raise awareness!
