The holidays are officially upon us. Between travel, celebrations, and family get-togethers, your social calendar is filling up quickly so something has to give, right? This year, don’t let it be your workouts!
Maintain – and improve – your strength, balance, and core in four simple, yet challenging moves using nothing more than an exercise band. This effective tool allows you to get a total body workout anywhere, from your hotel room to your mother-in-law’s guest bedroom, in less than 10 minutes!
Follow these quick fitness tips from Fitness Supervisor Pam Trudeau of Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa in the video below, to stay in shape during the busy holiday season:
- Lunge with an anterior raise – targets legs and shoulders
- Single legged chest press/fly – targets chest, quads, back and abs
- Single legged straight arm/straight leg press back – targets back, hamstrings and triceps
- Wide stance bicep curls – targets arms
Perform 2 sets of each exercise slowly and with control for 10-12 reps each. Looking for more? Add a 10-20 minute power walk or jog!
Wishing you happy, healthy holidays!
