Massage Crawl Orlando
Summer’s arrived, and it’s time to soak up the sun and an Orlando-style massage crawl! We suggest the following five.
Fire, ice, and everything oh-so-nice. One of Mandara Spa’s many services include the Fire & Ice massage that detoxifies and strips away pain and stress with contrast therapy: heated basalt stones and an ice-cold gel. Mandara Spa also boasts a whirlpool, separate men’s and women’s sauna and steam rooms and a fitness center.
As its name suggests, The Salt Room specializes in salt therapy sessions (good for asthma, allergies, cold/flu, and more), which are incorporated into a majority of the spa’s massage treatments. The Salt Room is said to be the only location in the U.S. where you can receive a Halo Massage, which includes salt therapy. In addition, you can enjoy couples and prenatal massage, lymphatic drainage, deep tissue and the unique Raindrop Technique.
On your next quest for a massage, head to The Spa at the Orlando World Center Marriott (featured image), where signature services like the Around the World in 80 Minutes massage are at the forefront. The treatment is designed to take you on vacation with myriad international massage techniques—all without ever leaving Orlando. In addition, The Spa at the Orlando World Center offers lavish spa packages like the Aromatherapy Journey and Body & Sole.
The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Orlando, Grande Lakes, boasts extravagant touches beyond its massage options (we’ll get to those in a sec): There are 40 treatment rooms, a heated outdoor pool, café, and boutique. As far as massage goes, we propose the Grande Indulgence Massage, a combo of a full-body massage with a scalp, hand, and foot treatment. The Lomilomi-Inspired Massage is a gentle, rhythmic, 50-minute treatment.
Orlando’s Hourglass District is home to Live Oak Yoga and Massage. A good variety of massage services are on offer (therapeutic, relaxation, table Thai, hot stone, etc.), and there are treatment packages (1 hr/$75; 3 massages/$180; 5 massages/$250) and monthly specials.
