Like several of our romantic spas of Italy do, the luxurious Borghese skincare product line utilizes the healing waters of Tuscany. Beauty products from Borghese are always sumptuous and from the earth, and their “classic favorite,” Fango Brillante Brightening Mud Mask, is no exception.
Borghese’s Fango Brillante Brightening Mud Mask
As instructed, I applied a quarter-inch thick layer to my body. Unlike most “mud” products, this mud is pink – making it all the more fun to slather a generous layer all over my body. I left on for about 10 minutes and washed off with a warm, wet washcloth.
Fango Brillante’s formulation does wonders to rehydrate and nourish the skin. The Italian mud is said to help rid the skin of impurities, remove dead skin cells, and even out skin tone…I tried it only on my body, however, the Vitamin A and Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract work to leave skin brighter and more radiant, a benefit to application on the face.
The nutrient-rich mask contains other powerful ingredients including Borghese’s own Aqua di Vita Complex, which originates from those famed springs of Italy and isbelieved to help reduce the signs of aging.
The New York Times recently highlighted Borghese’s provocative new ad campaign to celebrate the product’s 25th anniversary, asking, “Do you Fango?” in mud across bare bodies. Could the magical mud have been the secret of age-defying Italian beauties…perhaps like…Sophia Loren? Did she Fango? Not sure, but I do indeed.
