National Yoga Month: Where to Get Your Asana On

We’ve rounded up locations around the globe where you can celebrate National Yoga Month!
Salamander Resort & Spa – Middleburg, Virgina
Enjoy an equine experience with your yoga class at Salamander Resort & Spa. Here, guests and locals can enjoy Yoga in the Stable (1-hour; $25/class, Mondays and Fridays at 7am and Wednesdays at 7pm) and Yoga on Horseback (30-minutes; $250 per person, Mondays and Fridays at 8am). Yoga in the Stable is an awakening yoga class where the sun rises as you flow through your sun salutations in Salamander’s Equestrian Center. After going through the Yoga in the Stable class you’re able to try Yoga on Horseback. During this off-the-mat class you’ll be able to increase strength, flexibility, and balance. Classes available through September 30, weather permitting.
Well & Being Spa at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess – Scottsdale, Arizona
Kiss gravity goodbye and enjoy an Aerial Yoga class at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. Here you can swing in mid-air using a soft fabric hammock, working with gravity in order to relax the body, helping it to go deeper into poses, and help to ease any stress on the mind.
Terranea Resort, a Destination Hotel – Rancho Palos Verdes, California
All month-long, the beautiful seaside destination resort is offering complimentary yoga classes in honor of National Yoga Month. In addition, on September 20, Terranea Resort will once again host Los Angeles’ largest outdoor yoga gathering. This free event, open to the public, begins at 4:30 pm, complete with an outdoor wellness marketplace, fitness experts sharing tips and exercise routines, and a lululemon trunk show. The event culminates with a sunset yoga class at 5:30pm on Terranea’s 16,000-square-foot oceanfront Palos Verdes Meadows. Arrive early and enjoy the amenities and pool at The Spa, Terranea, for just $45. Participants will receive a goody bag featuring a variety of products and special offers, and be eligible for a drawing to win one of several prizes, including an overnight stay at Terranea Resort with a 60-minute spa treatment, valued at $700!
Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain – Scottsdale, Arizona
At this beautiful desert resort guests can enjoy regular weekly indoor yoga classes or take their practice outdoors and twist things up! Zennis, a yoga-tennis hybrid, allows guests to work with Sanctuary’s tennis pros instruct a movement-based tennis clinic, emphasizing the principles of sport-specific yoga along with functional stretches. You will focus on body awareness, movement, and mechanics. ($50 per person)
Whiteface Lodge – Lake Placid, New York
Nestled in the High Peaks of Lake Placid, guests at Whiteface Lodge have the option of fireside, lakeside, and poolside yoga classes. Here you can also enjoy Yogilates, a combination of yoga and Pilates or classes with Mim Frantz, former Olympic figure skater and current yoga instructor at Whiteface Lodge. Classes are all daily and complimentary to guests.
Twin Farms – Barnard, Vermont
The all-inclusive Relais & Chateaux property and the only five-star resort in Vermont, Twin Farms now offers a beautiful new yoga deck and wellness programming for guests. Now you can enjoy sunrise yoga, gentle flow yoga, restorative yoga, and yoga hikes at this beautiful resort.
Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino – Palm Beach, Aruba
From the air to the sea, at Marriot Resort & Stellaris Casino in Aruba, the Yoga Girl herself, Rachel Brathen, teaches stand-up paddleboard yoga classes ($50/class). This type of yoga helps you to dramatically improve balance and posture while strengthening the core.
Grand Cayman Marriott – Cayman Islands
Guests enjoying the Grand Cayman Marriott’s Beach House Experience will get to take part in twice-a-week Sunrise Yoga practice with Bliss Yoga Cayman experts. This early morning yoga class takes place at the resort’s Vita Bar terrace and offers views of Seven Mile Beach.
Core Power Yoga – Nationwide
CorePower Yoga Santa Barbara, and all other locations nationwide, are offering three unique programs for National Yoga Month. All month-long Uber and CorePower have teamed up to sponsor meditation sessions during your ride to yoga class! In addition, each CorePower students will be offered one complimentary class during National Yoga Month and each Wednesday throughout October, instructors will pass out mantras to help yogis find a little zen.
Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health – Stockbridge, Massachusetts
In celebration of National Yoga Month, Kripalu Center in the Berkshires is offering a few special programs. From September 18-20 enjoy Yoga for the Rest of Us, classes created for new yogis using gentle stretches and accessible yoga poses.
