Since the holiday season is here, we thought it would be the perfect time to focus on self-care and love. Enter 21 Days to Self-Love, a book about rewiring your brain and changing your mindset, authored by Sara Drury, a pro make-up artist..
Since 21 is the magic number to create a habit, Drury asks the reader to set aside 10-30 minutes daily to focus on themselves. The tools and tips within the book aid others on their journey, tools she has used herself. She reflects on how she has gone from scared and hiding behind the scenes to launch a successful business, become an author and leader in self-image alignment.
Shifts in the Workplace
After working with women in the beauty industry. Drury says she would see and hear signs of low self-worth every single day. She states, the ways the scars happen are different for everyone and, yet, they show up so similarly in our daily lives. Symptoms like procrastinating, feeling overwhelmed, anxiety, self-doubt and/or even feeling as if one is not ready to take the next ‘scary step’ towards achieving their dreams. The book is something she wishes she had when she was healing.
“It took me a long time to fully believe I was worthy of everything I want in life.”
As women, we have come a long way in the workforce and wellness industry. We have truly experienced a paradigm shift in the past 20 years to where women now hold leading roles in large companies. The introduction of women in the workforce while maintaining a key role in raising a family has had its challenges. We need to find ways to adapt and cope, manage stress and maintain our balance. This book, provides tips and tools to do just that.
To boost readers’ chances of success, Drury created a private Facebook group exclusively for readers. To participate visit Sara on Facebook. 21 Days to Self-Love is available online and just in time for the holiday. Enjoy.
Drury is a graduate of the Jim Fortin transformational coaching program and co-author of The Total Woman as well.
